Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is with immense pleasure that we invite You to participate to the 2nd European Conference - european ways of brief strategic and systemic therapy - “Best practice Best teaching”.

The 1st successful European Conference “LOOKING BACK IN THE PAST TO SEE THE FUTURE”, was held in November 2003, which witnessed the arrival of numerous and various professionals from European countries and from around the world. The organization of this event followed a “spot” presentation model, in order to expose the most variegated spectrum of brief strategic and systemic therapy practice.

The 2nd Conference intends to give a detailed and in-depth exposure of the best therapeutic techniques.

With this intent, the Conference would consist of workshops and symposia which will put forward a detailed presentation of the most effective and efficient intervention model, put together by great experts and creators in the field.

Each day a major topic will be taken up:

9th November 2005 - 1st day: the technique

10th November 2005 - 2nd day: the languagge

11th November 2005 - 3rd day: the relationship

Within each major topic, specific intervention patterns will be presented for each different pathology and for each different patient typology. At the same time there will be an exposition of the criteria used to evaluate, when and which of the three components of the patient-therapist interaction, need to be emphasized for therapeutic purposes.

12th November 2005 - 4th day will be dedicated to communication;

We invite all the colleagues interested in presenting their proposals to send the abstracts following the indications attached, which will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee.

13th November 2005 - 5th day parallel workshops will be held;

Those colleagues interested in proposing a workshop are invited to send us a detailed project of at least 5 pages and an abstract.
