If you have any of these other conditions, you may need a mirtazapine dose adjustment or special tests:
liver or kidney disease;
bipolar disorder (manic depression);
seizures or epilepsy;
low blood pressure or dizzy spells;
high cholesterol or triglycerides;
heart disease, including angina (chest pain);
a history of heart attack or stroke; or
a history of drug abuse or suicidal thoughts.
You may have thoughts about suicide while taking an antidepressant, especially if you are younger than 24 years old. If a patient develops a sore throat, fever, stomatitis, or other signs of remeron and questions along with a low WBC count, treatment with RemeronSolTab (mirtazapine) Orally Disintegrating Tablets should be discontinued and the patient should be closely monitored. Induction of emesis is not recommended. Tell your doctor if you are using:
conivaptan (Vaprisol);
imatinib (Gleevec);
isoniazid (for treating tuberculosis);
lithium (Eskalith, LithoBid);
St. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are breast-feeding a baby.
The orally disintegrating tablet may contain phenylalanine. Antidepressant medicines may increase suicidal thoughts or actions in some children, teenagers, and young adults within the first few months of treatment. Do not stop using mirtazapine suddenly, or you could have unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. ('Multum') is accurate, up-to-date, and complete, remeron and questions no guarantee is remeron and questions to that effect. Important safety information: Remeron may cause drowsiness or dizziness.
