In a pool of premarketing US studies, including many patients for long-term, open-label treatment, 8% of patients receiving Remeron discontinued for weight gain. Ask your doctor how to avoid withdrawal symptoms when you stop using mirtazapine. Remeron was associated with significant orthostatic hypotension in early clinical pharmacology trials with normal volunteers. If your symptoms do not improve or if they become worse, check with your doctor. Events are further categorized by body system and listed in order of remeron anger frequency according to the following definitions: frequent adverse events are those occurring remeron anger 1 or more occasions in at least 1/100 patients; infrequent adverse events are those occurring in 1/100 to 1/1000 patients; rare events are those occurring in fewer than 1/1000 patients. Don't drive or remeron anger in any hazardous activity that requires full mental remeron anger until you know whether Remeron has this effect on you. Take the forgotten dose if you remember within a few hours. Serious, life threatening side effects can occur if you use Remeron before the MAO inhibitor has cleared from your body. Report any new or worsening symptoms to your doctor, such as: mood or behavior changes, anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, or if you feel impulsive, irritable, agitated, hostile, aggressive, restless, hyperactive (mentally or physically), more depressed, or have thoughts about suicide or hurting yourself. Remeron was associated with significant orthostatic hypotension in early clinical pharmacology trials with normal volunteers. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. Depression and other serious mental illnesses are the most important causes of suicidal thoughts and actions. Do not start new medicines without first checking with your healthcare provider. Pediatrics Safety and effectiveness of mirtazapine in the pediatric population have not been established (see PRECAUTIONS). Serious, life-threatening side effects can occur if you take Remeron before the MAO inhibitor has cleared from your body. Family and caregivers must closely watch patients who take Remeron.
