Patients should be advised of the following issues and asked to alert their prescriber if these occur while taking RemeronSolTab. Continue to take Remeron even if you feel well. Possible food and drug interactions when taking Remeron Never combine Remeron with an MAO inhibitor; and do not drink alcohol while remeron hyponatremia Remeron. The conditions and duration of exposure to mirtazapine varied greatly, and included (in overlapping categories) open and double-blind studies, uncontrolled and controlled studies, inpatient and remeron hyponatremia studies, fixed-dose and titration studies. In an 8-week-long pediatric clinical trial of doses between 15 to 45 mg/day, 49% of Remeron-treated patients had a weight gain of at least 7%, compared to 5.7% of placebo-treated patients. While the clinical trials did not reveal any tendency for any drug-seeking behavior, these observations were not systematic and it remeron hyponatremia not possible to predict on the basis of this limited experience the extent to which a CNS-active drug will be misused, diverted and/or abused once marketed. If Remeron is taken with certain other drugs, the effects of either could be increased, decreased, or altered. There were suicides in the adult trials, but the number was not sufficient to reach any conclusion about drug effect on suicide. CHILDREN The safety and effectiveness of Remeron have not been established in children. Always consult your doctor or healthcare specialist for medical advice. Respiratory Respiratory side effects including dyspnea (1%) have been reported. If you have any of these other conditions, your doctor may need to adjust the dose of Remeron or order special tests: liver or kidney disease; bipolar disorder (manic depression); seizures or epilepsy; low blood pressure or dizzy spells; high cholesterol or triglycerides; heart disease, including angina remeron hyponatremia pain); a history of heart attack or stroke; or a history of drug abuse or suicidal thoughts. As at a higher dose of mirtazapine, a more pronounced effect can not be excluded. Nonfasting triglyceride increases to greater than 20% above the normal upper limits have been reported in 15% of patients receiving mirtazapine in clinical trials. It is not known whether Remeron will harm an unborn baby. Your doctor will need to check you at regular visits for at least the first 12 weeks of treatment. It should be noted that RemeronSolTab (mirtazapine) Orally Disintegrating Tablets are not approved for use in treating bipolar depression.
